Motohiro Yamaguchi is a professional coach, has coached Yokohama FC(2012) and U-17 national team (2016).
As a player, he had played for several J League clubs; Yokohama Flugels(1992-1998), Nagoya Grampus (1999-2002), Albirex Niigata (2003-2005,Aug) and Yokohama FC (2005 Aug-2007).
During he was with Yokohama Flugels, he won Emperors cup in 1993 and 1998, and awarded the best 11 award twice (1996,1997).
In Nagoya, he led the squad as a captain, won Emperors cup in 1999.
After he moved to Niigata, Motohiro gave the best of his performance to win the division 2 of J League and promote to the division 1.
From August 2005, Motohiro had played for Yokohama FC, initially on loan, then transferred to permanent from the beginning of the 2006 season.
He led Yokohama FC to promote to the division 1 as a captain.
Motohiro had also played for the national side. He was the member of 1998 World Cup, played all group stage matches.
