INTRODUTION
Daiya joined Vissel Kobe from Kansai University in 2017 and made his J.League debut on November 3, 2018, against Nagoya Grampus. In the 2020 season, he played in the AFC Champions League for the first time in the club's history, contributing to the semi-finals.
On March 18, 2021, he was selected for the first time in Japan's national team for an international friendly and the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar Asian Second Qualifying Round, and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 Qualifier against Mongolia.
In the 2023 season, he started every match and played the full duration in league matches throughout the season. Daiya played a crucial role in Vissel Kobe winning the J1 league championship by conceding only 29 goals, the third lowest in the league. At the end of the season, he received the Fair Play Individual Award.
Daiya is recognized as a versatile goalkeeper known for his quick reflexes and ability to make one-on-one saves. Additionally, he contributes to the team's play with his long kicks, often recording assists.
