Issei Takahashi is a play-maker with exceptional skills and vision that allow him to control the course of a game and create chances to score. Issei joined JEF United Chiba in 2017, after spending brilliant years with Aomori Yamada High School, winning the JFA U-18 Premier League and the All-Japan High School Tournament.
He made his first appearance in the opening match of 2017 season.

In 2018 he was on loan to Renofa Yamaguchi FC.
He was on loan to Montedio Yamagata in 2019 and returned to JEF Chiba in 2020.
