Egawa joined the academy system at V.Varen Nagasaki U-18 squad, then He trained with Nagasaki’s first team for the first time aged 16. After 3 years, Egawa officialy promoted to the first team in 2019.
In 2020, he became the first player who made his debut for the first team and provided an assist as a first promoted player from the Nagasaki’s youth system.
After He made his first team debut, He has been gradually earning his playing time, and He became a marquee player in the 2021 season.
Egawa is a left footed center back who is physically strong as well as athleticism and aerial prowess. Although he is usually deployed as a center back during his career, he also can play as a full back as result of his defensive ability and technical skills. It made him a versatile player from a tactical standpoint.
In attacking standpoint, he has good build-up skills with his left foot, and vertical passes from him can be the starting point of an attack of his team and it expands the team's attacking weapons.
