Takahiro Sekine is a dribbler with pace and high skill on both foot.
He has got strong mentality to take on defenders, and stamina to perform well for 90 minutes on both attacking and defending aspects.
Saitama born Takahiro has been with Urawa Reds since he was 12. Promoted to top team in 2014 and made J League debut in the beginning of that season and first professional goal in May. It was great rookie season for him with 29 appearances and 3 goals.
In 2015 season, Takahiro has grabbed the right flank position.
Awarded J League monthly MVP in May with scoring 3 matches in a row, and he was the driving force for Urawa’s 1st stage title.
He moved to FC Ingolstadt 04 in Aug. 2017. Then he was on loan to Sint-Truidense V.V. in July 2018.
In June 2019, he's returned to Urawa Reds.
Takahiro has been selected for the youth national team, and expected to be named in senior national team in the near future.
