Yoshiaki Takagi succeeded in TOKYO VERDY Junior Youth and Youth, and he was selected to every category of Japanese National Team.
He participated in FIFA U-17 World Cup and made a big contribution for the team, including scored a goal in the match vs Brazil.
He went to Borussia Dortmund(Germany) for the short period of training, and got a high opinion from the club.
In March 2010, he made his debut as J.League in the first match of the season, as the player that got the registration for play at the top team.
In September 2010, when he was only 17 years old, he signed with the club, and achieved success.
He moved to FC UTRECHT, Netherland in June 2011, got experience for 2 and half years, and then, he moved to SHIMIZU S-PULSE in 2014.
He was on loan to TOKYO VERDY for getting more opportunities to play in Jul.2015 and moved to the club in 2017
In 2018, he moved to ALBIREX NIIGATA.
He is a modern attacking midfielder that has high finishing skill, physical ability and huge stamina.
