INTRODUTION
After graduating from Teikyo High School, Tatsuya joined the Urawa Reds in 2001.
In 2003, his third year, he scored double-digit goals in the league, and he won the J.league Cup as a key player in his team.
In recognition of his performance in J.league cup game, Tatsuya won the J.league cup MVP and New Hero awards.
In 2004, he was selected for the Athens Olympics national team and played in all three group’s games、and he was named the Japan national team for the first time in 2015.
Tatsuya known as the "Wonder Boy" because of his speed and dribbling skills, he won the 2006 J-League, the Emperor's Cup in 2005 and 2006, and Japan's first ACL in 2007 with Urawa Reds,.
In 2013, Tatsuya moved to Albirex Niigata after 12 years with Urawa Reds.
After he joined Albirex Niigata, where he played for nine years as a mainstay, before retiring in 2021.
In 2022, he became a top team coach and started his coaching career.
