We would like to announce that Takahiro Yanagi has joined FC Ryukyu on a permanent deal.
“This time I will be joining FC Ryukyu. At the end of August last year, I drove under the influence of alcohol, an act that I would never do as a human being before being a football player. My actions have caused trouble for many people in society, and I have disappointed Avispa Fukuoka (to which I belonged on loan), Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo (to which I belonged), the J.League, the JFA, and all other parties involved in football, and I have lowered the value of football in Japan as well. I also disappointed the feelings of the fans and supporters. I am truly sorry. And now FC Ryukyu has given me a chance to start over again as a human being and a football player. First of all, I would like to work on various things to restore my credibility and trust as a person and a member of society. As a football player, I will give everything I have so that FC Ryukyu can achieve its goals of winning the J3 league and promotion to J2 this year. I am looking forward to working with you.”
