The Japan Football Association (JFA) announced U-23 Japan National team Squad  for the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad (Paris 2024), and Shunsuke Mito (Sparta Rotterdam) has been named in the squad.

"I am very happy to have been selected as a member of the U-23 Japanese national team to compete in the Paris Olympics!
This past winter, I moved to Sparta Rotterdam, and the Paris Olympics are the next step in my growth in Europe. Now that I have been selected, I will be aiming for results as well.
Together with my teammates and staff who helped win the qualifying rounds, and with the support of many friends who have worked so hard to help me, I will play each and every game with all my might, aiming for a medal of the best possible color, and with all of my personality.
