The Japan Football Association (JFA) announced the squad for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™/AFC Asian Cup China PR 2023™ Preliminary Joint Qualification Round 2, and Kirin Challenge Cup 2021 which will be held in May and June, and Hiroki Sakai (Olympique de Marseille), Naomichi Ueda (Nîmes Olympique), Yuya Osako (Werder Bremen) and Takumi Minamino (Southampton FC) have been selected for the squad.
