INTRODUTION

Daichi joined Osaka University of Health and Sports Sciences after graduating from Riseisha High School, also based in Osaka.

He became a top scorer of the Kansai University Football League in 2018 and left a good impression at the 2019 FISU Summer Universiade as part of the Japan national squad (where Japan eventually won the title).

While Daichi was still a university student in 2019, he was designated by J1 side Sagan Tosu for J.League special license player  and scored in his first match.

Daichi has greediness in him for scoring goals which is a must-have trait as a striker and his physical strength enables him to lay off the ball and create chances for his teammates.

His consistent hard-work and dedication can encourage his teammates and contribute to team's success.

He is a forward with strong finishing, and his speciality is quick body feints around the box to lose his defender and score goals.

Although still a rookie, he scored nine goals in 2020 season.

Daichi also eagerly fulfills his defensive duties without hesitation to go the extra mile from box to box.

Daichi was called up for U24 Japan National team to compete in Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where he played as a starting-eleven in all of 5 games he played and contributed to the team achieving the semi-finals.

In August 2021, Daichi made first move to Europe joining a Belgian club, Sint-Truidense V.V..

In his inaugural season, he appeared in 25 games scoring 7 goals.

In March 2022, he was called up for the senior national team for the first time.
