INTRODUTION

Koki Otani is an aggressive goalkeeper with excellent shot-stopping abilities and accurate ball control skills.

While he was still a player of the URAWA REDS youth team, he was also training with the top team, 

and in 2008 he got promoted to the top team. 

He was also playing for the Japan National Youth teams in the different levels.

In 2014, he made J.League debut at Giravanz Kitakyushu where he was loaned out to, 

and played 46 games as a first goalkeeper in which he contributed to the club's record finishing at 8th in J2 league and qualifying for the quarter finals of the Emperor's Cup.

He returned to URAWA in 2015 and helped the club win titles. In 2021, he moved to Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo.
After the conclusion of the 2023 season, he departed from Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, where he had been for three years, and made a permanent transfer to Giravanz Kitakyushu. He had previously been on loan to Giravanz Kitakyushu for one year from Urawa in 2014.
