INTRODUTION
When Yuya Osako was playing for Kagoshima Josei high school,
he was already selected for Japan Youth National Team at U-16 and U-17 levels.
He broke the goal record (10 goals) in the 87th All Japan High School Soccer Tournament.
In 2009, He joined a powerhouse of J.League, Kashima Antlers as a best striker of youth generation.
He made great contribution to the club as a regular member, played 22 matches and scored 3 goals in the first year, then he was selected for Japan National Team in 2010.
In 2011, he won the J.League Yamazaki Nabisco Cup and was named MVP,that was a first personal title for him.
He is one of the best forwards in Japan who can decide the winner of the match with his high level ball keeping skill and getting many goals with good spirits.
In 2013/14, he moved to TSV 1860 Munich, prestigious club in Bundesliga, and scored 5 goals in 15 matches.
He then moved to 1. FC Köln in June 2014/15 as his performaces at TSV 1860 Munich were recognised.
He made his Europa Cup debut in 2017/18 against Arsenal.
In 2018, Yuya joined Werder Bremen and contributed to the club remaining in Budesliga by scoring two goals at final game of 2019/20 season.
He joined Vissel Kobe in August 2021, returning to Japan after playing in a seven-and-a-half-year in Europe.
Also, he has played for Japan National Team in FIFA World Cup 2014 and 2018, and scored a goal in 2018 World Cup.
