
INTRODUTION
Shunsuke is a JFA Academy graduate and he joined Albirex Niigata as a professional player in 2021.
He made his professional debut in an opening game of the same season, and made 25 appearances scoring 2 goals.
In 2022 season, Shunsuke was a crucial part of the team scoring 6 goals and making 2 assists in 24 appearances which was a huge contribution to the team to win Japanese second division league and get promoted to the first division. The achievements during the 2023 season were acknowledged, leading to Shunsuke securing a permanent transfer to Sparta Rotterdam for their first international challenge.
Shunsuke has been called up to the Japan national team through all the youth levels, and won 2018 AFC U-16 Championship qualification and also appeared in FIFA World Cup U17 in 2019.
Shunsuke Mito is a dribbler with agility and good skills on the ball. Regardless of his height, Shunsuke has proven that he can compete against bigger opponents as he has pace and is quick on his feet which make it difficult for his defender to win the ball from him without making a foul.
Shunsuke is one of the exciting prospects who is expected to play for Paris 2024 Olympics.
