After graduating from Yokkaichi Kogyo High School and Fukuoka University, Keisuke joined J1 side Urawa Reds in 2002 as the first club of his career. Right in his freshman year, he served as a central component of Urawa’s defense and was consecutively awarded the J.League awards for best young player and fair play as well as the Nabisco Cup Best Young Player Award.
When first called up for the Japanese A-National Team in 2003, he was also selected to the J. League Best Eleven. His constantly good performances also earned him a ticket to the Japanese squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, appearing in two of three matches.< br> His most notable attributes as a defender are his exceptional agility and speed, tight man marking and a good instinct for position play his teammates can rely on.
In 2015, Keisuke left the Urawa Reds after 13 years of loyalty to join then J2 side Shonan Bellmare and contributed to their first division promotion in 2017.
In 2018, he moved on to J2 side Renofa Yamaguchi where he was welcomed as a widely experienced veteran. Keisuke finally retired at the end of the 2019 season and now has high ambitions to become a renowned media personality.
